Terms of Service

Appy + Yaar is an educational support tool for hormonal and reproductive health, designed for UK South Asian women and men. It helps you understand your body, prepare for conversations with your doctor, and access evidence-based information in plain English.

It is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, monitor, or treat any condition. It does not replace advice from a qualified doctor, nurse, or pharmacist. If you are worried about a symptom, please contact your doctor or, in an emergency, dial 999.

You must be 16 or older to create an account. The service is designed for UK residents and India-based users. For UK users, clinical content references NICE, NHS, and HFEA guidelines. For India-based users, content references ICMR guidelines and the ART Regulation Act 2021. Content may not apply to users in other countries.

You are responsible for keeping your password safe. You may not share your account with anyone. If you believe your account has been accessed without your permission, contact us immediately at info@herholistichealth.co.uk.

You may close your account at any time from Your Data Choices, or by emailing us.

You agree not to:

• • Submit false information or impersonate anyone else
• • Attempt to access other users' data or our systems
• • Use the service to harass, threaten, or harm others
• • Automate access (scraping, bots) without our written permission
• • Share content that is illegal, defamatory, or infringes rights

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.

The Ask Appy + Yaar chatbot is powered by Anthropic's Claude model. It generates responses from its training data and the context we give it. It can make mistakes. It must not be relied on for clinical decisions. Always check anything the bot tells you with a qualified clinician.

The chatbot has hard safety rules built in: it will refuse to diagnose you, it will refuse to recommend prescription medicines or supplement brands, and if you disclose self-harm or an emergency it will stop, signpost you to 999, NHS 111, or Samaritans 116 123, and will not continue the conversation. It does not auto-route or escalate on your behalf, in a crisis, please contact those services yourself directly. If you feel the bot has given you unsafe information, email us immediately at info@herholistichealth.co.uk.

Articles, pathway content, and the app's design are © Her Holistic Health Ltd. You may not republish or redistribute them without written permission. You retain ownership of the answers and reflections you enter, we only use them as described in the Privacy Policy.

You may be invited to opt in to research, contributing de-identified answers to studies that help improve care for South Asian patients. Participation is always optional, separately consented, and can be withdrawn from Your Data Choices. Withdrawing research consent does not affect your access to the app.

Because this is an educational tool (not a medical device), we cannot be liable for clinical decisions made based on information in the app. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

We are in pilot. Features may change, be added, or removed. Major changes will be announced in-app. If a change materially affects you, we will give you 14 days' notice where possible.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
